Recently the Festival Jubilee chapter of IODE donated $300  to Public Library On Wheels to purchase new books.  Pictured here is Cheryl Cunningham, past regent Festival Jubilee IODE and Trish MacGregor, PLOW program co-ordinator .  Thanks to the IODE many children who attend PLOW programs throughout Perth County will have the opportunity to borrow these great books.

PLOW is very grateful to the Beta Sigma Phi sorority chapters who recently raised held a fund-raising auction for PLOW.  Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Michael Fox,  auctioned items such as gift baskets, food items and artwork at this auction raising $2500.    In this photo Julia Opie, Jenny McAuley and Sheila Wittig present PLOW program coordinator Trish MacGregor with a cheque.  Thank you to Beta Sigma Phi for your wonderful support of PLOW.

The Frank Cowan Foundation ran a pilot program in 2007, encouraging the children in families of their employees to participate in a reading challenge.  The funds raised are now being returned to Cowan communities including Stratford. In 2007, Mary Mancuso of Cowan Insurance Brokers, Stratford Office, presented a cheque for $1000.00 to Sam Coghlan, Stratford Library Director. The funds will go to Literacy programs for the Public Library on Wheels  (PLOW). In 2008, the Frank Cowan Foundation contributed another $1000 from their “Cowan Read-a-thon Program".
